I was needing a good powerfull set of multimedia speakers to hook up to my laptop for listening to music at home but it needed to be a portable system that I could take from room to room for parties or weekend nights in with pals. I searched quite thoroughly on line and there is a bewildering amount of good stuff available, and firstly I plumped for a Philips system which I thought would fit the bill. Although this system was well designed and good quality, the power just wasn't there, so at £140, I was disappointed to say the least, but I gave them to my son for his birthday and they are quite suitable for him playing music/videos in his bedroom.So that was that, I had to start over again.I came upon the Logitech z-2300, 200 watt system and after reading the reviews decided to buy them. The delivery was incredibly fast and the package was reassuringly heavy so I was quite exited and couldn't wait to try them out.They are fantastic!The satellites are crisp and well defined, and the sub has enough power to put the windows out, so at lower volume they have the sound quality of a very expensive system, and they can be loud enough for any party, they can get very loud without distortion, but be warned, if you intend to test just how loud they can go then please make sure the neighbours are out! So if you are in the market for this type of product don't waste your time looking at anything else, just buy them, it was certainly the best £140 quid I ever spent!

I'm loving it!. Sounds better than some car stereos. It's not too heavy in weight, for the size. I use it at home, it's brilliant. I've used it in a small hall, and the base was killing it. I had to turn it down and position the speakers to get better treble. Unfortunately, I have not able to thump the volume to max, people will complain. It's about finding the right time to blaze the music. Good equipment, worth having.

i bought the z2300 about 6 months ago and now i couldn't live without it, the system is so powerful. the bass is deep and heavy the satellites are crisp and so perfect. i made some small adjustments to the sound using the graphic equalizer in i tunes and every time friends come round all they can say is WOW!!!!! 20 out of 10 from me, money well spent. do yourself a favour and get one today, you wont be disappointed.

Got this this morning, and it's been going ever since, I love it!!! Never thought I could get such a great sound out of a set of computer speakers. Not really using it for that using it more for my ipod than my computer. It's got some power and a nice clean mostly distortion free sound. Naturally once the speaker have been used a bit they will give me a much warmer sound but no complaints so far. I would highly recommend this system to anyone wishing to have something that packs a punch. I enjoy my music running a nakamichi, set up with onkyo amp and the biggest mourdant short speakers you have ever seen. Compared to that this system is very very good.

Best buy yet for my computer. The bass is clean and deep just what I was after and my god it's powerful! The speakers themselves have a nice clean and clear sound. Brilliant 2.1, worth every penny. No regrets whatsoever and I recommend these highly to anyone who loves loud and bassy music. The base control is very helpful because the parents downstairs hate the rumble so whilst there in I advise you keep them down until there out, ofcourse if you have your own place, there should be no problem. Ignore all the bad reviews the base doesn't overpower the speakers at all! They are just so picky and can't be happy with high quality speakers that'll be hard to find anything that could match it for the price they are at. Don't think about it just buy it! As i'm sure you are made aware of already is the size of the sub, it is massive but that isn't a problem if you slide it in a corner or under the desk. No cons just all pros.
