 BIG Sound small Price Tag - Creative T3100 2.1 speakers !! July 26, 2010

An absolute bargain, the sound quality is extremely impressive. The bass response from the solid wooden sub--woofer is adjustable, so you can blow your neighbours away if you wish.
A nice touch is the headphone socket on the right speaker - this speaker also has a blue LED power indicator light that is not a distraction and manages to look COOL and also has a volume control.
I am very Impressed and would highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade, or first time purchase for your IPOD or PC/laptop.
My only grudge is "the mains plug" - as the DC unit is built into the plug it is extra large - it would not go next to any other plug on a mains strip - so had to run another power strip just to take this mains unit.
Other than that NO ISSUES at all, Excellent Sound Quality (especially BASS) and the volume strength is more than enuf to shake things near by.
UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY "BOSE", I WUD SUGGEST THESE ARE THE BEST SPEAKERS AT A NEGLIGIBLE PRICE TAG.

I've had these speakers about 6 months now, I have enjoyed every second of owning them after owning broken speakers for about a year. They look great, sound fine across many genres of music and the bass control on the sub is very very handy to have on any system.
However, two months ago the power supply stopped working. Upset that my wonderful new speaker system would be unusable until I had money to replace the power supply I began shopping around.
First of all, I contacted Creative to try and get the specs of the connector so I got the right size. They were incredibly unhelpful. Not only could they not tell me the connector size, but they do not offer spare parts!! The power supply is 12V 2.9A and I was informed by a guy in an electrical repairs shop I could buy a 3A power supply. I did this, yet now receive horrible static feedback on the speakers so that I have to constantly play my music loud to compensate. Although I don't know much about electricals I assume the slight increase in ampage is responsible for this feedback. I shopped around for a 12V 2.9A supply and did not find one with the right connector size. Regardless of whether or not I could replace the power supply quite easily, and if the static is being produced by another defect my troubles have now totalled half of what these speakers are even worth money-wise. Not only do Creative produce their own power supplies for their products that are not easily replaced, but they do not provide replacement parts for them. This is quite a moronic decision on someone's part at the company, and I can only think the rest of their products in general will in one way or another reflect this idiocy and incompetency.

Speakers are incredibly win! I would recommend these speakers to anybody who wants them for music, movies or games. The sub produces a nice amount of bass which can be adjusted with a spinny nob. The sound from the actual speakers are better than expected. Even when turned up loud, as long as the bass is balanced well with the volume, it will not sound bad. Crystal clear speakers and work well with a TV too :) (using headphone socket)

Bought these speakers after reading various reviews,and am extremely pleased with them.I am using them with a computer connected to a cycle training unit so I can play heavy music to train with,and break the monotony.The neighbours haven't complained as yet,as they are quite adjustable including the base unit.setting them up properly at the correct level helps and don't put the base unit on the floor either.
I had no trouble with the plug/transformer unit,as i bought a surge protected pillar plug adaptor,and the sockets are all at 45 degrees so adjacent plugs are not a problem
